My Apologies

Emily Whynott is a sculptor and ceramicist based in Philadelphia. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2020 and is currently a second-year MFA candidate in the Socially Engaged Art program at Moore College of Art & Design. Whynott's studio practice centers on commonplace and found materials, which she transforms into sculptural forms that embrace imperfection and asymmetry. Rather than pursuing technical refinement, her work deliberately leaves traces of the making process visible, prioritizing authenticity and human gesture over polish.
